Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Resvo (“we”, “us”, “our”), which operates Resmate, the AI resume and job search service at resmate.ai (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use Resmate.
The short version
- Review everything the AI writes. You’re responsible for what you send to employers, so only keep skills and experience that are true.
- We can’t promise interviews or job offers. Scores are our own estimates.
- Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel. You can cancel anytime — cancelling stops future renewals; payments already made aren’t refunded. Try the Free plan first.
- Your resumes are yours. We use them only to provide the Service, and not to train AI models.
This summary doesn’t replace the full Terms below.
1. The Service
Resmate helps you with your job search. You can upload a resume or build one, compare it with job descriptions and get match and ATS (applicant tracking system) scores, have AI tailor your resume to a specific job, create cover letters and LinkedIn profile text, browse job listings collected from other websites, and keep track of your applications. Some features are only available on paid plans. We may add, change or remove features over time.
Resmate doesn’t apply to jobs for you. When you choose to apply, we send you to the employer’s or job board’s website, and you apply there yourself.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Resmate. By using it, you confirm that you are. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, you may use Resmate only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
3. Your account
- You can sign up with your email address or with your Google account. Sign-in is handled by Amazon Cognito.
- Give accurate information, keep your login details secure, and don’t share your account. Each account is for one person.
- You’re responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has accessed it, email us right away at resvoai@gmail.com.
4. Acceptable use
Please use Resmate fairly and lawfully. You must not:
- scrape, crawl or bulk-download the Service or its job listings, or access it with bots or other automated tools;
- upload or process another person’s resume or personal information without their permission;
- upload anything unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing or harmful, including malware;
- use Resmate to invent or misrepresent qualifications, employment history or identity, or to impersonate anyone;
- abuse the AI features — for example, by trying to get around plan or usage limits (including by opening multiple accounts), or by trying to make the AI produce harmful, unlawful or deceptive content;
- interfere with or overload the Service, probe or break its security, or access accounts or data that aren’t yours; or
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.
We may remove content or limit access if we believe these rules have been broken.
5. AI-generated content
Resmate uses AI to read, score and write content. AI makes mistakes: it can misread your resume, suggest skills or keywords you don’t have, or produce wording that isn’t accurate.
- Review everything Resmate produces before you use it.
- You are solely responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of every resume, cover letter, profile or message you send to employers or publish. Only include skills, experience and results that are true.
- After Resmate tailors a resume, the Review Skills step shows the skills that were added for the job and lets you remove any you don’t have before you download the resume. Use it.
- Similar wording may be generated for other users.
6. No guarantee of results
We can’t promise that Resmate will get you interviews, job offers or any other result. Match scores, ATS scores and other ratings are estimates made by our own software. They don’t predict how a particular employer or applicant tracking system will rate you, and hiring decisions are made by employers, not by us.
7. Plans, billing and cancellation
Resmate has a Free plan and paid plans. The paid plans are currently Pro ($12 per month) and Premium ($29 per month). The features and usage limits of each plan (such as daily AI actions and the number of resumes you can store) are shown on our pricing page, and the price that applies to you is shown at checkout before you pay.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Paid subscriptions renew automatically every month and are charged to your payment method until you cancel. If we change the price of your plan, we’ll tell you before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then.
- You can cancel anytime from Billing → Manage Billing, which opens Stripe’s billing portal. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep your paid features until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and then your account moves to the Free plan.
- If a payment fails and isn’t resolved, your subscription may be cancelled and your account moved to the Free plan.
- Coupon codes, when we offer them, give the access described with the code for a limited time and have no cash value.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy: payments are final, and you can cancel anytime — including on the day a renewal is due — to stop future charges.
8. Job listings from third parties
The job board shows listings collected from third-party job boards and from companies’ public career pages. We don’t write, check or endorse these listings, and we aren’t the employer or a recruiter. Listings are provided “as is”: they may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and a job may already be filled or the posting expired.
Always check the details on the employer’s own website before you apply, and be wary of any listing that asks you to pay money or share financial details. Other websites you visit from Resmate have their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of what you put into Resmate, such as your resumes, job descriptions and edits (“your content”). As between you and us, you also own the resumes, cover letters and other documents Resmate generates for you.
You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to provide the Service to you — for example, to read your resume, send it to our AI provider to produce the results you ask for, and show you those results. We don’t use your content to train AI models. This license ends when your content is deleted, except for copies that remain for a limited time in backups, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You confirm that you have the right to upload your content and that it doesn’t violate anyone else’s rights.
10. Our service
Resmate’s software, design and content (other than your content) belong to us or our licensors. These Terms give you permission to use the Service as described here, and nothing more. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
11. Ending your account
You can stop using Resmate at any time. To have your account and data deleted, email us — our Privacy Policy explains how. If you have a paid plan, cancel it in Billing as well, or ask us to cancel it in the same email.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if your use puts other people or the Service at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you first.
Sections that by their nature should continue after your account ends, such as the disclaimers and the limitation of liability, will continue to apply.
12. Disclaimers
Resmate is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, that AI output, scores or job listings will be accurate, or that your data will never be lost. Keep your own copies of important documents.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, earnings, job opportunities, data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to Resmate; and
- our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to Resmate is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Resmate in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim, or US$100.
Some places don’t allow some of these limitations, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived or limited by contract.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we’ll tell you before it takes effect, for example by email or with a notice on the site. If you keep using Resmate after the change takes effect, the updated Terms apply to you. If you don’t agree, stop using Resmate and cancel any paid plan.
15. General
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about Resmate. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce part of these Terms right away, we don’t give up the right to enforce it later.
